The education department at Butler Memorial Hospital will host the father/son class, "It's a Guy Thing," from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in the Dimmick Educational Center at the hospital, 911 E. Brady St.

Fathers and their sons, ages 9 to 12, will discuss changes that occur during puberty, including a review of anatomy, physical changes, emotional changes, personal hygiene, good health habits and communication skills.

Cost is $10 for each father and son pair. To register, call 724-284-4232 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

BUTLER TWP — The Mommy and Me class at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., will begin its winter session on Jan. 30.Parent/child classes meet once a week for eight weeks and are open to mothers and their children ages 1 through 3.For information or to register, contact Julie Scott at 724-285-9953.

The Knights of Columbus Council 866 will host "A Night of Magic for the Knights" at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 234 E. North St.The event will feature magic presentations by Tim Kutch.Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children younger than 12 and $25 for a family of four or more. EVANS CITY — The Evans City Volunteer Fire Department will host a dance for students in grades four, five and six from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at the fire hall, 124 N. Jackson St.Admission is $5 per person.For information, call 724-538-8114.

PENN TWP — Penn Christian Academy, 199 W. Airport Road, is now accepting enrollment for students who will enter kindergarten through grade six in the fall.The school offers a gifted program and accommodations for students with dyslexia.Admission includes a personal interview. AYUSA Global Youth Exchange is seeking host families for international exchange students ages 15 to 18 participating in five-month or 10-month academic programs.Students will attend local high schools, participate in extra-curricular activities and complete a community service project.Host families will provide food and a private or shared bedroom for the student.
