WPIAL executive director Scott Seltzer resigns after 3 years, Vince Sortino to take over
Scott Seltzer, who has led the WPIAL since July 2022, is resigning after more than three years on the job.
The district accepted Seltzer’s resignation as executive director during its board meeting Tuesday, according to Pittsburgh media reports, and chief operating officer Vince Sortino will be promoted to the top spot. The move will be effective Dec. 20.
Seltzer took over in 2022 after Amy Scheuneman resigned.
The resignation comes two weeks after PIAA executive director Robert Lombardi announced his retirement. Mark Byers will take over on Jan. 1.
