Trunk or treat at the Clearview Mall
Several Butler County agencies will host a trunk or treat Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Clearview Mall.
Danielle Schmidt, executive director of the Butler County Child Advocacy Center, said anyone with a vehicle can sign up to provide treats to youths at the free event. She said about 900 people came to the event last year, so she hopes to see more people sign up to bring their cars, along with treats, to the event.
“We definitely want more trunks to sign up this year,” Schmidt said Wednesday, Oct. 8. Nearly 50 “trunks” attended last year.
Schmidt said the event will also feature a DJ, who will play Halloween-themed music throughout the evening. The other agencies helping to organize the event are the Butler County Humane Society, VOICE, the Lighthouse Foundation and First United Methodist Church.
The trunk or treat takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Clearview Mall, 101 Clearview Circle, Center Township. To sign up to be a trunk at the event, contact Schmidt at Dschmidt@Butlercountycac.org.
