James V. Harbison

James V. Harbison Jr., 80, of West Deer Township died Wednesday in Kittanning Care Center.

Born May 7, 1927, in Deer Creek, Gibsonia, he was the son of James V. and Mildred (Shepard) Harbison.

He was married to Helen C. (Logut) Harbison, who died Nov. 19, 2002.

He was a World War II veteran.

He was the longtime owner of Deer Creek Garage in West Deer. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling with his late wife and family.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 593 in Russellton and John E. Mair Lodge No. 529 of Mars.

Mr. Harbison is survived by a daughter, Cheryl McGraw of Pine; two sons, James Harbison III of West Deer and Dean Harbison of Shaler; a sister, Jean Davis of Stoneboro; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Cinpinski.

<B>Harbison</B> — Friends of James V. Harbison Jr., who died Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Raselyn Johnson, pastor of Deer Creek United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
