Jimmy Stoltenberg’s 37 paced a very strong day on the links for Seneca Valley’s boys golf team Wednesday afternoon.

The Raiders had five golfers card sub-40 scores in a 193-196 victory over North Allegheny at Cranberry Highlands.

Butler 221, Shaler 232 — Brayden Setnar earned medalist honors with a 41 for the Golden Tornado at Hiland.

Now 3-0 overall and 1-0 in section play, the Golden Tornado play Pine-Richland at 4 p.m. Thursday at Treesdale.

Knoch 209, Highlands 252 — Mike Kohl carded a 38 for medalist honors in the Knights’ season opener at Saxon.

KSAC Mega Match — Moniteau tallied 243 to edge Clarion by two strokes Wednesday at Cross Creek Resort. The match was played in the rain.

Ethan McDeavitt carded a 40 to lead the Warriors. The next match is Aug. 29 at Hunter’s Station.
