Kriebel

Sandra Kriebel, of Greene Township, Colo., passed away at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo., Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at the age of 70.

Sandra was born in Butler County, where she grew up in Zelienople before moving to Erie and starting a family. In the last several years, she split her time between her homes in Pennsylvania and Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leona and Edward Lutz; her sister, Karen; her niece, Melinda; and her husband of 42 years, Kenneth.

Sandy is survived by her two children, Brint and his wife, Michelle, with their son, Elliot, and Kevin with his daughter, Laurel; her five brothers, Ron and his wife, Kelly, Kevin and his wife, Gwen, Ken and his wife, Brenda, John and his wife, Donna, and Bryce; numerous nieces and nephews; and an uncountable number of friends and loved ones throughout the world.

Sandy never stopped moving, learning, working, making new friends and caring about everyone around her. She was crowned as the 1975 to 1976 Butler County Dairy Princess, worked caring for children while raising her own, and worked for Erie Insurance for 25 years, before retiring in 2022.

Her children and grandchildren were her everything, and they will always carry with them the love, joy and strength that she instilled in them. She will be missed more than words can describe.

A private service will be held at a later date, where her ashes will be laid to rest as she requested.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the March of Dimes, an organization Sandy and her family have long supported.
