FOR THE CHILDREN — Liz Miles and Jon Burnett, host of KDKA-TV’s “Evening Magazine,” brought their show to Clearview Mall in December 1987 to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The flute and brass ensembles of Community Alliance Church’s chamber orchestra, in the background, provided holiday music for the show, which was broadcast live. The hosts and their friends raised at least $40,000 for the hospital, said Carolyn McClair, KDKA public relations director.
