Evelyn M. Cotto, 87, of Valencia, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 27, 2025, at St. Barnabas Home in Gibsonia.

She was the wife of the late Luis A. Cotto-Flores, whom she married March 6, 1965, and who died Sept. 27, 2021.

Born in Gibsonia on Feb. 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Jessie Dobson Lawther.

Evelyn had been a care aide at St. Barnabas Home and was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars.

She was the mother of Debra Lerch (Marko), Robin Cosme (Felix), Lisa Cotto (Dave), Kimberly Cotto-Mimm (the late Shawn), Shannon Cotto (Dan), the late James Lawther (Sharon), Charles Cotto, David Cotto (Patty) and the late Daniel Cotto; grandmother of Nicole, Kristen, Kurtis, Tyler, Alex, Kevin, Alaina, Emma and Adalyn; and great-grandmother of Alaya, Avery, Autumn, Max, Briella and Lucas.

She was the sister of Robert “Butch” Lawther, the late George Lawther, the late William Lawther, the late Gerald Lawther, Edward Lawther, Beatrice Rodriguez, Harriet Vasquez, Alice Howryla and Cheryl Zabish; and aunt of nieces and nephews.

COTTO — A celebration of life for Evelyn M. Cotto, who died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, will be held beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at Penn Glade Lions Club, 140 Church Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.

Arrangements are under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
