East Brady officials seek economic boost

EAST BRADY, Clarion County — The East Brady Area Development Council on Feb. 11 heard a presentation on how to organize local revitalization efforts by Marilyn McCall, director of the public affairs and community and economic development department in Parker.

East Brady officials want to boost the economy in their borough.

Also at the monthly board meeting at the Allegheny Hills Retirement Residence, the council set the annual “We Believe” Christmas open house in the borough for the second weekend in December, according to a council news release.

The council agreed to participate in the Great American Cleanup on April 11.

Representatives from the Progress Fund and the Greenways Program will speak at the council’s April meeting on the Trail Town Program, which is an economic development plan for small towns along hiking, biking and water trails.

That meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. April 8 in the locker room of the Arnold Beabout Community Center, 502 Ferry St.
