Lou Ann Davis, 49, of Butler went into the hands of the Lord Thursday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler surrounded by her loved ones.

Born Dec. 23, 1960, she was the wife of Richard Davis and the daughter of Donald and Florence (Tackett) Domhoff.

Lou Ann's strong faith and testimony were evident as an active member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Working at Wal-Mart for numerous years, Lou Ann's contagious personality and servant's heart were shown to employees and customers alike.

She enjoyed growing sunflowers, watching hummingbirds and gardening.

She is survived by two stepchildren, Mark Davis and his wife, Megan, and Laura (Davis) McKain and her husband, Sean. Lou Ann was the sister of Lynda Mato and her husband, John, Sandy Wright and her husband, Michael, and Donna McIntyre and her husband, John. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Though we all will miss Lou Ann dearly, we are comforted knowing she is among God and his angels. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” Revelation 21:1-2.

<B>DAVIS</B> — Friends of Lou Ann Davis, who died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, will be received at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler, on Sunday from 1 to 3 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
