Velma 'Jean' Miller
Velma “Jean” Miller, 66, of Slippery Rock, Liberty Township, Mercer County, died at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Butler, Sept. 18, 1944, she was the daughter of Eugene Brewster and Maxine Phipps Brewster.
She married Noble Ray Miller on Feb. 6, 1965.
She had worked at the Slippery Rock University Bookstore and later at the Corning Revere Store at the Premium Outlets in Springfield Township, Mercer County, since it opened 17 years ago.
She grew up in Butler and graduated from Butler High School.
She was a Protestant.
She enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Diana Lynn and her husband, Ronald Hennel, of Frisco, Texas, and Melissa Ann and her husband, Scott Miller, of Carlton; a sister, Terry and her husband, Timothy George, of Evans City; and five grandchildren, Kali, Hayden and Kendall Miller and Alexander, and Benjamin Hennel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Maxine Stevenson, Linda Wolfe and Betty Thompson.
