Dorothy Dunlap Herr, 97, of Indiana, Pa., formerly of Mars, died Tuesday at St. Andrew's Village, in Indiana, Pa.

Born in Mars, Oct. 19, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Morrow and Marian Holmes Dunlap.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Frick, of Indiana, Pa.

Mrs. Herr worked for 38 years in the hematology department at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was a lifetime member of Mars United Methodist Church, where she was very active.

Surviving are a daughter, Dona Fischer and son-in-law, Earle Fischer, of Greenville, S.C.; a son-in-law, David Frick of Indiana, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

<B>HERR</B> — Friends of Dorothy Dunlap Herr, who died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Mars United Methodist Church, 525 Pittsburgh St., Mars, PA 16046. The service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Barry Lewis, pastor, officiating.
