Miriam Bischoff, 93, of Zelienople, formerly from the Williamsport area, died Saturday at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born Oct. 13, 1913, in Williamsport, Lycoming County, she was the daughter of William and Minia Ritter Anderson.

She was a member of Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church.

She and her husband, the Rev. Rudy Bischoff, who died in February 2004, were longtime residents at Passavant and had been active in the peace movement.

She is survived by a niece and a nephew, both from Williamsport; a grandniece; and four grandnephews.
