Carrie Lynn Connor

In memory of Carrie Lynn Connor who died April 4, 1990, 18 years ago today.

When that snowy April morn took you from our side,

We envisioned days of bleak distress, slowly creeping by,

The years stretched out before us each day an eon long.

Fearing time would cease to move,

Eighteen years have come and gone.

We tried to gaze beyond our loss,

By capturing your essence.

By honoring your love of others,

And keeping live your presence.

Your essay from those long years past,

Of helping folks in need,

Your dream a real endeavor now,

Your seed became a tree.

With many caring, helpful hands,

Josh and Carrie's Place arose.

Reaching out and lifting up,

Your vision realized.

Helping others helps ourselves,

Your lesson etched in our hearts.

Our sorrow now seems less severe,

Our helplessness less stark.
