Alma Ruth Campbell, 92, of Greenville, MercerCounty, formerly of Hadley in Mercer County and of Mars, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday in White Cliff, N.H.

Born in Etna, Feb. 3, 1915, she was the daughter of Stephen and Daisy Clark Balbier.

She was a 1936 graduate of Butler High School; and during World War II, she worked at Mine Safety making explosive components for the Navy.

Mrs. Campbell was a Protestant.

She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, Stephen D. Campbell of Scranton, David Campbell and his wife, Beth, of Yorktown, Va., and Donald Campbell and his wife, Pat, of Cochranton; and grandchildren, Amber and Ginger Campbell of Florida, Keith and Tammy Campbell of Yorktown, Jason Campbell of Pittsburgh, Jennifer and her husband, Blake Elliott, of Richmond, Va., and Laura Campbell of Yorktown.

Her husband, Eugene C. Campbell, whom she married in 1946, died in 1999. A sister, Emma Norma Wilson, also preceded her in death.

<B>CAMPBELL</B> — Friends of Alma Ruth Campbell, who died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Andrew J. Vana Funeral Home</B>, 102 Church St., Hadley. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Van Dyne officiating.
