Fix criminal justice system
We can't build jails fast enough.
I would have guessed that one in every 10,000 Americans was in jail, but it is one in every 100 Americans, even with our plea-bargaining arrangements.
Our system is not working; we need a drastic change.
The biggest employer in the United States is not General Motors. It is our jails.
Many juveniles would benefit if placed on farms, instead of being incarcerated. We should reduce by one-half the number of years for a crime and apply caning. That works in Singapore.
Our taxes could go for a better cause, like staying in our own pockets.
