William J. Parker
William J. "Bill" Parker, 98, formerly of Erie, died March 13 at the home of his daughter, Maryan Adley, in Butler.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Nov. 21, 1907, he was a son of John and Dorothy Steve Parker.
He attended Academy High School and had been a self-employed plumber most of his life. He owner and operated the Parker Trailer Court on Caughey Road, Erie.
Mr. Parker was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and the Siebenbuerger Club, both in Erie.
He was an avid square dancer for more than 15 years.
Surviving are his wife, Marion Aggers Parker; a daughter, Maryan Adley and her husband, James, of Butler; six grandchildren: Amanda McConnell and her husband, Jeffery, of West Sunbury; and Mindy Steere and her husband, Daniel, Melanie Adley, James J. Adley III and his wife, Laura, Amber Ripper and her husband, Jack, and Eric Adley, all of Butler; and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Harriet Taylor, and her good friend, Melvin Randall, of Albion; a stepson, Fred Bolte and his wife, Barbara, of Missouri; eight step-grandchildren; and 15 step-great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; his second wife Freida; a grandson; and a brother, Arthur Parker.
