The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America is seeking chorus members from the areas of Butler, Mars, and Middlesex and Cranberry townships.

Practice takes place at 7:30 p.m. Mondays in the chapel at LAS/St. John's Lutheran Specialty Care Center, 500 Wittenberg Way, Mars.

CRANBERRY TWP - The final Living Stations of the Cross before Easter, as performed by teenagers from St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, will begin at8p.m. Friday at the church, 2535 Rochester Road.Admission is free, but a freewill donation will be taken at the end.Though the church is large, serving 3,500 families, this event is very popular and fills the church. SLIPPERY ROCK - Gallery 164 at 164 S. PITTSBURGH - In the final concert of its 70th anniversary year, the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh will perform J.S. Bach's "St. Matthew Passion" with soloists, double choirs and two orchestras.The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland.The event is director Brady Allred's farewell performance with the choir.Tickets cost $20 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and $7 for students.
