Man charged after allegedly threatening neighbor at gunpoint

A Washington Township man is facing charges after state police allege he pointed a gun at another man during an argument outside a home last month.

On Thursday, Sept. 4, Butler Township-based state police charged Mitchell Hilliard, 39, with one count misdemeanor each of terroristic threats and simple assault, and a summary count of disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened a neighbor at gunpoint.

Around 10 p.m. Aug. 10, police said Anthony Lominski told troopers he and a neighbor, David Stewart, were outside, Lominski in his truck and Stewart on his porch. Hilliard allegedly drove by in his side-by-side, before driving up the driveway and hitting Lominski’s truck. He then began revving his engine and spinning his tires, spraying rocks on a nearby vehicle.

According tan affidavit, Lominski said Hilliard was trying to push his truck back into the garage. Hilliard then drove around the back of the house and began hitting the back bumper of Lominski’s truck.

Lominski told police he then got out of his truck and began yelling before and attempting to get Hilliard to get out of his side-by-side. Hilliard refused to exit his vehicle and pulled out a gun and pointed it at him, according to the affidavit.

According to the affidavit, Lominski then mimed to police Hilliard pointing the gun at him, first saying “Click,” followed by “Huh, guess I’m out of shells.” Hilliard then drove back around the house and left.

A preliminary hearing for Hilliard has not been scheduled.
