Pastor Richard C. Ross of 998 Shreve Road, Titusville, died Saturday afternoon at his home from injuries received in a tractor accident.

Born in Titusville, he was the son of Samuel and Marjorie Servey Ross.

A graduate of Titusville High School and MTA Trucking School in Elizabethtown, he had been a truck driver at Omega Trucking in Wheatland, Mercer County.

He was pastor of Word of Faith Fellowship Church in Butler and was a missionary to Mexico and the Philippines many times. He formerly was associate pastor of the Church of the Word International in Titusville and of Mount Carmel Tabernacle in Dempseytown, Venango County. He was a former pastor of the Wings of Grace Church in Oil City. He also was a board member of the ABC Pregnancy Center in Franklin.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Anthony Southwick Ross, whom he married March 27, 1982, in Titusville; a son, Mark W. Southwick and his wife, Cathy, of Raymond, Wash.; three daughters, Sheila See and her husband, Dennis, of Meadville, Sherri Southwick of Cambridge Springs and Krista Roberts and her husband, Alan, of Sarver; and 12 grandchildren, Katie, Alisha, Kevion, Devon and Karin Southwick, Courtney, Christopher, Joshua and Hannah See and Makenzie, Kalista and Keegan Roberts.

He also is survived by his parents of Titusville; two sisters, Grace George and her husband, Larry, of Oil City and Bonnie Staub and her husband, Lew, of Titusville; two nieces; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Jessica Lynn See.

ROSS - Friends of Pastor Richard C. Ross, who died Saturday, March 5, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at GORDON B. GARRETT FUNERAL HOME, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel Tabernacle, Dempseytown, with Pastor Glenn Walker, church pastor, and Pastor Robert Hawk of Clarksburg, W.Va., officiating.
