Jocelyn ‘Joyce’ Laconi
Jocelyn A. “Joyce” Laconi, 87, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Butler on Aug. 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John Berkes and Janet Mitchell Berkes.
Joyce worked as an administrative assistant at Butler Memorial Hospital, and she was previously employed at Mellon Bank.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Blessed with a beautiful voice, Joyce loved to sing and was a member of various choirs. She enjoyed quilting and she especially enjoyed cheering on her grandsons at their sporting events.
She is survived by her loving husband, Regis A. Laconi, whom she married Aug. 10, 1957; three children, Bev Laconi, of Mars, Tina Zuets, of Butler, and Scott Laconi and his wife, Wendy, of Butler; four grandchildren, Chiara Brink and her husband, Doug, John Matthew Kline and his wife, Chloe, Camden Laconi and Carson Laconi; two great-grandchildren, Cohen Paisley and Sadie Kline; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Laconi, and her brother, Earl “Ches” Berkes.
LACONI — There was no visitation, and services and burial were private for Jocelyn A. “Joyce” Laconi, who died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME SOUTH SIDE, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
