Carolyn Kelly
Carolyn Ruth Kelly, 85, of Slippery Rock, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford, on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025.
She was born in Polk, Pa., on June 19, 1940, and was the daughter of Ruth Carolyn Kline Stull.
She married Ronald E. Kelly on June 12, 1963, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2004. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran. She retired from the Allegheny Valley School in Slippery Rock, where she worked as an aide for 17 years.
She was previously a member of the Branchton U.M.C. and attended the Slippery Rock Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking.
Survivors include son, Shawn (Lori) Kelly of North Pole, Alaska; daughter, Cheryl L. (Scott) Jacquillard of Butler; son, Brian (Tina) Kelly of Pittsburgh; sister, Nancy (Frank) Maier of New Kensington; two brothers, Richard (Laura) Stull of 84, Pa., and David (Carole) Stull of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Ryan, Chris, Heather, Stephanie and Gary; nine great-grandchildren; and special friend, Donna Martin.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother; husband; daughter, Errin; and brother, Frederick.
KELLY — Friends of Carolyn Ruth Kelly, who died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, may call on the family from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
A celebration of life service will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, led by Pastor Ray Heckathorn.
Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
