JOHNSTOWN, Cambria County — Christianna Dawson, Butler County's Junior Miss for 2006, will compete against 12 other contestants for the title of Pennsylvania's Junior Miss 2006 Sunday at Westmont Intermediate High School.

A senior at Mars High School, she was crowned the local winner in September.

The daughter of Jay and Susan Dawson of Valencia, she is president of the National Honor Society, was named on the high honor roll, was named in Who's Who Among American High School Students and was chosen to represent Mars at the Western Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Seminar. She is a member of the Key Club and performed in the musical "Bye, Bye Birdie," recently presented at the high school.

Christianna has been accepted to Grove City College to study molecular biology.
