Sam Bartley stars as Mordecai, the adoptive father of Esther, played by Mary Phillips, in the musical drama "Esther," being staged at 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday at the Succop Theater in Butler County Community College's Cultural Center. Written by Valencia resident Jeannie Allen, the show features the same actors as when it debuted in the spring at Mars Alliance Church, except for King Xerxes, now being played by Michael Roos.
