NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country stars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will return to host the Country Music Association Awards on ABC this fall for an eighth straight year.
The 49th annual awards show will air live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Nov. 4.
Paisley, who is currently out on his Crushin' It World Tour, has won 14 CMA awards in his career, which makes him No. 5 on the list of top CMA winners of all time. Underwood, who put out a greatest hits album last year celebrating her first decade as an artist, has seven Grammy Awards and five CMA awards.
The final nominees in each of the 12 categories will be announced Sept. 9.
Cooper keeps eye on TV show 'Limitless' from afarBEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Bradley Cooper has been on stage in London but keeping an eye on “Limitless,” a new TV series version of his 2011 big-screen film.He “checks in pretty regularly, just actor to actor,” said Jake McDorman, who plays the lead role in CBS' drama debuting Sept. 22. “I'm thankful for his availability.”McDorman and Cooper, who is an executive producer on the series and has a recurring role, share another screen credit: They were in “American Sniper,” which earned Cooper an Oscar nomination.Cooper reprised his “The Elephant Man” Broadway role in London, wrapping the run earlier this month. But he helped long-distance with major “Limitless” plot points and tone, executive producers Craig Sweeny and Alex Kurtzman told a TV critics' meeting.Cooper appears as a presidential hopeful on the CBS drama.
