Peter Joseph Cirillo, 45, of William Flynn Highway in Slippery Rock died Saturday at the Grove City Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born Aug. 11, 1962, in Butler, he was the son of Joseph D. Cirillo and Patricia E. Thompson.

He was employed by the family business. He attended Slippery Rock High School and later graduated from Clarion University with a degree in accounting.

He was an avid environmentalist and contributed to organizations that advanced environmental interests. He loved music and attending concerts. Above all, he was a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast.

He is survived by his parents of Slippery Rock; four sisters, Bobbi Augustine of Grove City, Pat Ahrens of Slippery Rock, Lori Lanigan of Harrisville, and Becki and her husband, John, Suesser of Slippery Rock; two nephews, Mitchell Augustine and his wife, Amy Beth, of Grove City and Grant Ahrens of Slippery Rock; two nieces, Lindsay Lanigan of Harrisville and Jessi Suesser of Slippery Rock.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Brad, and two brothers-in-law, Jim Augustine and David Lanigan

<B>CIRILLO</B> — Private services will be observed today for Peter Joseph Cirillo, who died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, Slippery Rock. The Rev. Wayne Bell, pastor of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church, will officiate.Memorial contributions may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.Burial is in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
