Max Pokorski
Max Joseph Pokorski, 98, of Butler, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Concordia at Cabot.
He was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Max and Pauline (Krause) Pokorski.
Max was a member of the Mahoning Lodge No. 243 F&AM of New Castle, New Castle Scottish Rite, Syria Temple, Butler Caravan No. 14 and Masonic Veterans of Western Pennsylvania. He was, also, the 2004 Monarch of Islam Grotto and a member of Aut Mori Grotto of Youngstown.
Max had been a mechanical structural engineer, who retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a maintenance supervisor. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post No. 249.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
POKORSKI — There will be no public visitation or services for Max Joseph Pokorski, who died Friday, Aug. 15, 2025.
Private interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
