John L. Eagal

John L. Eagal, 72, of Butler passed away Friday at his home.

He was born March 13, 1937, in Butler, the son of the late Samuel Eagal and the late Alta (McCandless) Eagal.

John was a retired railroad engineer from Pullman Standard.

He was a member of the Butler Moose Lodge 64 and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, John (Jackie) Eagal and Shane Eagal, both of Butler; a granddaughter, Cristen Fend of Butler; three great-grandchildren, Haylee and McKenzie Fend and Soren Eagal; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister.

<B>EAGAL</B> — A memorial service for John L. Eagal, who died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Tom Holman officiating.
