Antonio 'Tony' Chiodo
Antonio "Tony" Chiodo, 60, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Thursday morning at his home.
Born in Nicastro, Italy, Oct. 12, 1948, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Maria Cortez Chiodo.
He worked for more than 30 years at ALSO Parking in Pittsburgh, was a custodian at the Mars High School for two years and most recently worked floor maintenance for UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.
He was a member of Teamster's Union Local 926 in Pittsburgh and belonged to the North American Fishing and Hunting Club and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Plansinis Chiodo, who he married Sept. 30, 1978; a son, Michael J. Chiodo and a daughter, Andrea M. Chiodo, both of Middlesex Township. He also was the brother of Gino Chiodo and Giovanna Signorelli.
