Alice Faye Stewart
Alice Faye Stewart, 82, of Mars, formerly of Fenelton, died Friday at St. John Specialty Care Center after a long-term illness.
She was the daughter of the late Merle A. McKee and Anna (Burk) McKee.
Alice had worked in the housekeeping department in the old hospital of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she also decorated with flowers.
She was a former member of Fenelton Methodist Church, where she was an organist, and the Moose Lodge in Chicora. She was a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul and the Salvation Army.
Surviving are her son, Wayne A. Stewart and his wife, Cindy, of Saxonburg; a daughter, Sharon Wagner and her husband, Bill, of Maryland; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Marilyn) Clemson of Philadelphia; a brother, Harold D. McKee of North Carolina; sister-in-law and dear friend, Grace Anderson of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
<B>STEWART</B> — Friends of Alice Faye Stewart, who died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. Thursday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. The Rev. Keith R. Black of Raccoon United Presbyterian Church in Hopewell will officiate.
