Raymond J. Webber
Raymond J. Webber, 83, of 102 Linsdale Drive in Butler Township died at 3:41 a.m. Monday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville, Feb. 11, 1922, he was the son of Manuel and Katherine E. Hoovler Webber.
In his earlier years, he worked for the Bessemer Railroad in Greenville He then worked in the stainless shipping department at Armco-Butler Works and retired in 1983.
He was a member of the Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church.
Mr. Webber served in the Army during World War II.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had been the director of the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club. He also enjoyed being with his family.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Larry R. and Rita Webber of Butler; two granddaughters, Cristina M. and her husband, Steve Black and Melissa L. and her husband, Greg Slater, all of Butler; two great-grandson's, Trevin J. Slater and Nicholas S. Black; and a great-granddaughter, Summer R. Slater.
He also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Catherine M.) Groce of Greenville and Mrs. Mary E. Lark of West Middlesex; four brothers, Gerald R. and Donald E. Webber, both of Greenville, Leo Duane Webber of Readon, Wash., and Clifford J. Webber of Woodruff, Wis.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
His wife, Mary Jane Zeigler Webber, died Sept. 12, 2001. An infant daughter; two sisters, and two brothers also preceded him in death.
WEBBER — Friends of Raymond J. Webber, who died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Bupp, his church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Butler County Unit, P.O.
