Betty K. Crawford, 69, of Chicora died 6:55 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony following a lingering illness.

Born in Annisville, she was the daughter of the late Albert P. Murrin and the late Imogene E. Snyder Murrin.

She was a registered nurse and received her nursing degree from Butler Memorial Hospital. She then became the director of nursing at Sunnyview Home in Butler, where she worked for 22 years.

She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Crawford of Chicora and Michael Crawford of Harmony; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Rick Murrin of San Jose, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Crawford, who she married in 1960 and who died Oct. 25, 2003.

<B>CRAWFORD</B> — Friends of Betty K. Crawford, who died Thursday, June 5, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Bell, pastor of West Sunbury Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Concord Presbyterian Cemetery.
