2 injured in Jackson Township rollover crash

JACKSON TWP — Two people were injured Saturday, Aug. 2, in a one-car rollover crash on Evans City Road near Petry Lane.

Township police said the male driver and female passenger were trapped in the car and had to be extricated by firefighters. Both were taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment — one by emergency medical helicopter and one by ambulance.

The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. as the car traveling west, and came to rest against a utility pole. A trail of broken parts and a wheel were left along the road. Police said the crash is under investigation.

The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company and Harmony Fire District responded along with Evans City and township police.
