Tuesday — Police filed drunken driving and other charges against Robert P. Jordan, 38, of Petrolia in connection with an altercation at Eau Claire Street Cafe this month.Officers were called at 12:05 a.m. March 1 for a fight at the bar. Police found Jordan, who smelled of alcohol and allegedly started a fight with another patron in the parking lot.During the fight, the suspect suffered head injuries and a twisted knee. He also allegedly caused more than $2,000 in damages to a pickup truck.Jordan was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries and for a blood test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.152 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated in Pennsylvania.In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.3:39 p.m. Monday — Colby H. Waldroup, 21, of Fairview Township was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 20-year-old Autumn Earley, during a domestic dispute at her Elm Street apartment.Waldroup is accused of grabbing the woman's arms and punching her chest and left shoulder. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.Monday — Tiffany Lee Hamilton, 29, of Oakland Township was charged with DUI after she was found about 2 a.m. March 8 passed out behind the wheel of a car on Broad Street.Toxicology results later showed her blood-alcohol was 0.161 percent, double the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.4:27 a.m. Sunday — John R. Pease, 30, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly slapped his 20-year-old girlfriend at their Lunar Drive apartment. Pease is charged with simple assault. He is free on $2,000 bail.

5:12 a.m. Tuesday — Jesse W. Coddington, 30, of Butler swerved his vehicle to avoid a deer and struck a tree head-on on Saw Mill Run Road. Coddington suffered an unknown injury to his nose when the air bags deployed. He refused medical treatment.

2:55 p.m. Tuesday — Keilynn A. Shaffer, 26, of Portersville was arrested for allegedly assaulting 32-year-old Joseph M. Gall of Portersville at a home on Robbie Way in Muddy Creek Township.Shaffer, who is accused of hitting Gall in the nose, is charged with simple assault and harassment.8:40 p.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jeffrey M. Stowers, 30, of New Castle struck a piece of concrete that holds up an overhead street light at the Clearview Mall exit just south of Henricks Road in Center Township.Stowers fled after the accident, leaving his disabled vehicle behind. He was cited for driving without a license and failing to immediately notify police of an accident.Monday — Police charged Ashley L. Malesh, 24, of Slippery Rock with drugged driving stemming from a rear-end collision with another vehicle about 3:50 p.m. Feb. 25 on Route 8 at Mercer Road in Center Township. Mary Lynn Schmidt, no age or address given, was the other driver.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Malesh is charged with driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and reckless driving.Friday — A 66-year-old Center Township man reported that an unknown identity thief used his personal identity information to make unauthorized transactions on his checking account.March 18 — A vandal removed seven letters from Moniteau High School “Warrior Country” sign and scattered them on the grounds at the school on Route 308 in Cherry Township. Paper towels were also scattered on the grounds.The vandalism happened between 10 p.m. March 17 and 8 a.m. March 18. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

5:01 p.m. Saturday — A 33-year-old Templeton man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 in Monroe Township. The investigation continues and charges are pending toxicology results.State Police, Mercer8:30 a.m. Sunday — John R. Dougherty, 28, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into a ditch and rolled onto its roof on Centertown Road just north of Kelly Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.March 11 — An unknown thief stole a Gateway laptop computer, valued at $269, from a 57-year-old Grove City man's car on Amsterdam Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.Sunday — Police are seeking a thief who apparently has an eye on bull dog emblems and hood ornaments. The suspect over the weekend targeted Tri-County Industries in Pine Township, Mercer County in the theft spree.Taken from two tractor trucks were bull dog ornaments, and a bull dog logo was also cut out from the seat of a third truck.

4:03 p.m. Tuesday — Beverly A. Buzard, 50, of Portersville was hurt when a pickup truck rear-ended the car she was driving on West State Street at Conkle Avenue in Union Township.Buzard and her passenger, a young girl, also of Portersville, were both taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle with minor injuries. Buzard was wearing a seat belt. The girl, who police did not identify, was in a child safety seat.The pickup driver, Madison M. Conti, 17, of New Castle, was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.
