Doerr

Florence C. Doerr, 96, of Cabot died Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Oct. 5, 1912, in Butler, she was the daughter of William J. and Gertrude Kradel Ferne.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Cabot, where she spent 22 years as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Altar Guild and Ladies Aid, the Saxonburg Golden Agers and the AARP.

She enjoyed listening to the Gospel and praying for her family.

Surviving are her two sons, David D. Doerr of Harrisburg and Bud (Sherry) W. Doerr of Sarver; her five daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Janet) Clowes of Cabot, Mrs. Martin (Donna) Sasse of Rimersburg, Sheldine Doerr Fredenburg of Cabot, Ms. Maryann Floyd of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. John (Linda) Wassum of Cabot; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Eleanor Dodds of Harrisville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul H. Doerr; a son, Ronald Paul Doerr; three brothers; and seven sisters.

<B>DOERR</B> — Friends of Florence C. Doerr, who died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
