Donation funds STEAM camps in Knoch School District
The final installation in the K-STEAM Scholars Summer Camp program at Knoch School District took place the week of July 21, and focused on chemistry. Students specifically studied surface tension through different experiments.
According to the school district, the camp was made possible this summer by a $50,000 donation to the Knoch Knights Legacies Foundation by Stephen M. Muck, chairman and CEO of Brayman Construction Corporation.
“The K-STEAM Scholars program is about... giving students the chance to connect what they learn in school to real-world opportunities that exist right here in our community,” Muck said. “Too often, funding favors athletics, but that’s only half the equation when it comes to developing young minds and bodies. Programs like this deserve support because they ignite curiosity, build confidence and open doors for the next generation of innovators.”
