Genevieve M. Janis Nielson, 77, of West Deer Township died Tuesday at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.

Born May 7, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Louis and Stella T. Killian Janis.

Mrs. Nielson was a homemaker and lived in West Deer Township for the past 41 years. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

Survivors include her husband, Victor C. Nielson of Corey; two daughters, Jennie Carr of West Deer Township and Mary Troyan of Middlesex Township; two sons, Victor Nielson of Harrisville and Vincent Nielson of Butler; and five grandchildren, Vincent, Wayne and Charlotte Nielson and Alan and Brandy Troyan.

NIELSON - Friends of Genevieve M. Janis Nielson, who died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, will be received from 10 to noon Friday at SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, where services will follow at noon. Burial will follow at Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
