Edith A. Whittenberger
Edith Ann Whittenberger, 60, of Middlesex Township died Wednesday afternoon at her home.
Born in Butler, Jan. 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James and Annabelle Strayer Hall.
She had worked in the shipping department at II-VI and also was a secretary for George Aubrey Insurance Brokers.
Mrs. Whittenberger was a member of the Nixon United Methodist Church, where she assisted with vacation Bible school and belonged to the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are her husband, H. William Whittenberger, whom she married March 31, 1978; a daughter, Mrs. William (Julia) Glace of Penn Township; a son, Chris Daugherty of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Willie (Lisa) Lehman of Tylersville and Mrs. Eric (Roberta) Hamblin of Middlebury; and a stepson, Gale Grey Jr. of Orangeville. A grandson, Joshua Glace, and 10 step-grandchildren also survive.
A brother, Robert Hall, preceded her in death.
WHITTENBERGER — There will be no visitation. A funeral service for Edith Ann Whittenberger, who died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Nixon United Methodist Church, Airport Road, Penn Township. The Rev. Bruce Merritt will officiate. Everyone is to meet at the church.
