Violet R. Crain, 91, Valencia, formerly of Mars, died Monday morning at the Fosnight Personal Care Home in Richland Township, Allegheny County.

She was born in Leesburg on May 16, 1914, a daughter of Hiram and Blanche Weaver Hedglin.

Mrs. Crain was a retired beautician and a former beauty shop owner in Grove City.

She lived in California for years before returning to Mars in 1994. She was an avid bingo player and golfer.

Mrs. Crain is survived by two daughters, Barbara Seitz of Middlesex Township and Joanne Price of Texas; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward H. Craft, and her second husband, Guy Crain, and seven brothers and sisters.

CRAIN — Friends of Violet R. Crain, who died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home after visitation. Burial will be in the New Findley Cemetery, Mercer County.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
