Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
July 7 — Police are investigating a container of tools believed to have fallen from a vehicle on July 1 on New Castle Road. The owner should call the Butler Township Police Department at 724-285-9600 to claim them.
July 3 — Edward J. Giorgetti, 43, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts and misdemeanor child endangerment following a May 28 crash. Police said Giorgetti was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.231% with a 12-year-old girl in the vehicle. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
July 3 — Tyler J. Rosario, 24, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a June 19 crash. Police said Rosario had a blood alcohol content of 0.207%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
July 1 — Paul Esser, 72, of Freedom, was charged with two misdemeanor counts each of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession, and misdemeanor DUI following an April 23 incident in Oakland Township. Police said Esser had a silver metallic bowl with suspected marijuana, showed signs of impairment and tested positive for THC.
July 2 — Kellie L. Horne, 40, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a June 12 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Horne had a brick of heroin, a bundle of heroin, two syringes and a glass stem pipe.
July 3 — Kara L. Shumaker, 44, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 2 incident in Chicora. Police said Shumaker struck a man with a full coffee mug and gave him scratches on his neck and back.
July 3 — Christian Metzgar, 24, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 2 incident in Chicora. Police said Metzgar struck a woman with a gas can, giving her a fat lip.
July 7 — Kelly M. Rearick, 48, of Renfrew, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 4 incident in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Rearick hit a man in the face and slammed a door on his thumb.
July 7 — Ronald Charles Rearick, 53, of Renfrew, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 4 incident in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Rearick grabbed a woman and squeezed her right hand.
July 7 — Andrew Charles Cypher, 36, of Evans City, was charged with felony disorderly conduct and misdemeanor simple assault following a July 6 incident in Forward Township. Police said Cypher assaulted a woman and pushed her against the wall multiple times.
July 7 — Merle Eugene Slippey, 59, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 3 incident in Forward Township. Police said Slippey pushed a woman into a counter causing a cut on her right arm.
July 7 — Christine Louise Herb, 40, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 3 incident in Forward Township. Police said Herb threw a boot at a man’s head.
July 7 — Bailey Ann Hines, 30, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor trespass following a July 3 incident in Center Township. Police said Hines entered a residence through a window without permission.
July 7 — Terrance Lamar Simms Jr., 23, of Youngstown, Ohio, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a March 14 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Simms had four grams of marijuana and a cigarette containing marijuana.
