Miller Minutes: Butler is ‘constantly focused on art of all kinds’
Have you ever been hyperfocused on something? I’m talking nose-to-the-grindstone focused … laser-focused. For some people it’s their careers, for others it’s a hobby and for some it is their art.
When it comes to Butler, you’ll find we are constantly focused on art of all kinds (look at the following events for proof). Often, that art supports our community and helps those within it.
This weekend provides several opportunities to give back, to remember, to laugh and to learn through art and activity. As I review my list, I invite you to pay special attention to those being held in memory of Corey Comperatore, who was killed during the attempted assassination of now-President Donald Trump last July.
As his legacy is celebrated, I urge you to make the most of gathering with friends and family, and to reflect on the joys in your own life and the special quality Butlerites have that compels us to stand together in good times and bad.
There are plenty of events for musicians, historians, neighbors and friends this weekend, so check out what we have going on.
