Everett W. Painter
Everett Willis Painter, 83, 109 Wendy Drive in Fenelton and also of the Rural Valley area, died at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday at the Sugar Creek Rest, near Worthington.
Born Jan. 2, 1923, in Templeton, he was the son of Ralph and Elsie Farester Painter.
He had been a laborer at the Haws Brick and Clay Co. in Bridgeburg, Armstrong County, and at the Drexel Clay and Brick Refractory in Kittanning.
Mr. Painter was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.
He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and spending time with his great-granddaughter.
Surviving are two sons, William E. Painter Sr. of Kittanning and Robert J. Painter and his companion, Al Wise, both of Fenelton; three grandsons, William E., Christopher S. and Gregory R. Painter; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Painter. A sister, June Zerbee of St. Petersburg, Clarion County, and many nieces and nephews also survive.
His wife, Caroline Jean Hughes Painter, died Aug. 14, 2003. Three sisters, Alberta Bartlett, Lois Delp and Pearl Paine; and two brothers, Merle Painter and George F. Painter Sr., also preceded him in death.
<B>PAINTER </B>— Friends of Everett Willis Painter, who died Wednesday, May 4, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Kennedy/Blodgett Funeral Home</B>, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Hugill, pastor of the Mount Zion Presbyterian Church of Boggs Township, officiating. Burial will be at Mateer Cemetery, Boggs Township, Armstrong County.
