Slippery Rock High School student Forrest McDowell pumps the bellows Wednesday as fellow student Kyle Brenlinger keeps a close eye on the fire that is heating and melting bronze during Brandy Elford's "How'd they do that" art class' annual Viking Day on Wednesday. The all-day event consisted of various activities from the Middle Ages — such as bronze casting and pottery making — in which students used tools from the time period.
