SR grad wins on 'Jeopardy!'

A Slippery Rock High School graduate who first made an appearance on the TV game show “Jeopardy!” Tuesday extended his run on the program Wednesday.

Dylan Parson became a two-day winner on the show, taking in a total of $24,599, according to the “Jeopardy!” website.

Parson, a senior at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, defeated three-day winner Natalie Lips of Lincoln, Neb., on Tuesday, winning $5,399 in his first appearance on the show.

On Wednesday, Parson defeated contestants Austin Yates, a traffic engineer from Bellevue, Neb., and Barbara Gao, an investment analyst from Chandler, Ariz.

Parson will appear again on today’s episode of “Jeopardy,” when he will face off against an MBA student and a registered nurse. The show will air locally at 7 p.m. on Channel 11 WPXI NBC Pittsburgh.
