I have a few wishes for 2011. Here they are:

• That our government will investigate and prosecute employers who hire illegal immigrants from any country. Would we need to guard our borders so vigorously then?

• That Fox TV will cease its incessant coverage of U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel’s transgressions and move on, or at least give equal time to former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s misdoings as well.• That the cap on the Social Security wage tax will be adjusted or eliminated.• That people will realize that outsourcing alone is not the cause of unemployment. Jobs gradually have been eliminated due to numerous technological changes through the years.• That people do not leave their ethics behind them as they exit their place of worship.• That we have more compassion and respect for one another.
