Mildred M. McDeavitt
Mildred Margaret McDeavitt, 90, of West Liberty died unexpectedly of natural causes at 2:50 a.m. Sunday at her home.
Born in Butler, April 30, 1917, she was a daughter of Lewis Peter and Mary Brown Twentier.
She was a homemaker and had worked for the Slippery Rock School District at the high school for 10 years.
Mrs. McDeavitt was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the Public School Employees retirement system.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel F. "Buck" McDeavitt Jr., who she married Aug. 10, 1955; a daughter, Betty G. Kreutz and her husband, Raymond "Pooch," of Slippery Rock; two sons, Charles L. Wolford and his wife, Kay, and Daniel F. McDeavitt III and his companion, Terri J. Makis, all of Slippery Rock; a brother and his wife, Clyde and Helen Twentier of Butler; a sister, Leona Styers of Butler; six grandchildren, Todd Alan, Scott Alan and Jamie Alan Kreutz, Christopher Robin Wolford and Katie Erin and Peter Daniel McDeavitt; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles L. Wolford; a daughter, Bonnie Sue Wolford; two brothers, Floyd and Kenneth Twentier; and two sisters, Irene Space and Hazel Grossman.
<B>MCDEAVITT</B> — Friends of Mildred Margaret McDeavitt, who died Sunday, April 27, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Lewis, her church pastor, officiating.
