By 2011 when she was 92 years old, Mary Rozic had spent several hours a day for 60 years making rosaries by hand, eventually distributing more than 100,000 of them around the world.
Rozic’s journey began more than 60 years ago, when a neighbor friend saw a help wanted notice that read, “Rosary Makers Needed.”
Although Rozic was busy with four small children at home, she went with her friend to visit the business that placed the ad.
“They paid me a nickel a rosary,” said Rozic, who made more than 9,000 rosaries over the next nine years.
