Virginia H. Bergbigler
Virginia H. Bergbigler, 88, of Game Reserve Road, Clearfield Township, died Monday at the VNA Hospice in Butler.
She was born in Butler June 20, 1923, a daughter of the late John and Matilda Widenhofer Denny.
Virginia was a homemaker and active in the operation of their family's dairy farm.
She enjoyed flower gardening, collecting knickknacks and traveling.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Carbon Center.
She was the widow of Charles J. Bergbigler. They were married June 10, 1943, and he died Sept. 19, 2005. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte.
Surviving are nine children and their spouses, Donald J. (Edith) Bergbigler of Fenelton, Paul C. (Bonnie) Bergbigler, Ralph J. (Darla) Bergbigler, Steven R. Bergbigler and Leroy J. (Mary) Bergbigler, all of Butler, Eugene A. Bergbigler of Chicora, Evelyn M. Bergbigler of Butler, Linda (Frank) Bohan of Fenelton and Karen (Dave) Serafine of Chicora; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
<B>BERGBIGLER </B>— Friends of Virginia H. Bergbigler, who died Monday, June 20, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday from St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center, with the Rev.
