Southeastern Butler County under flash flood warning
A flash flood warning has been issued for southeastern Butler County, along with parts of four other counties, for Sunday evening, June 15.
The warning was declared just after 5 p.m. by the National Weather Service of Pittsburgh, and is in effect until 8 p.m.
“Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area,” the service said. “Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.”
Northeastern Allegheny County, northwestern Westmoreland County, southwestern Armstrong County and west central Indiana County are also under a flash flood warning.
