Ruth A. Williams, 88, of Butler died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday at her son's home.

Born Oct. 26, 1917, in Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of Charles and Ethel McCandless Greaves.

She was a homemaker and a member of the United Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by two sons, Isaiah C. "Ike" Williams and John Henry Williams, both of Butler; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Isaiah C. Williams, died Sept. 5, 1994. A daughter and a son also preceded her in death.
